EPB electronic parking brake noise when activated

Hello all. This is probably in the forum somewhere but I’ve searched and can’t find anything specific to it.

For quite a while now my EPB makes this strained motor sound when activated. Apart from that it’s working ok. I had a previous B6 that this didn’t happen in and that ones EPB did fail.

Any ideas what this is? Would be nice if it was silent
