We have a 2006 SEL estate with the BWA turbo petrol engine, manual gears, and a good few factory extras.
Owned it for five and a half years and it has been brilliant, never missed a beat, 1500 miles on holiday to France in a week, easy.
I have spent on the car and have an impressive? stack of invoices. Big items were cam chain, suspension overhaul Bilstein shocks all round, I am on my second service book so plenty of servicing carried out.
Other than a re-map it has all been preventative maintenance rather than actual repairs as nothing has ever actually broken on it.
So how much? I was bored so I added up all the bills, £7800. We really like the car so does it matter?
