Soaking wet drivers footwell

Bloody cars! I've noticed recently that my b6 drivers side front foot well is very wet! 2 weeks ago I noticed that under the wiper motors, the drain holes were blocked so assumed it was that. But my carpet is still soaking wet.

I know I've got a boot leak on my saloon boot seals, I've got some on order. Any ideas where it might be coming from?

I have been through some deep puddles/ford after recent heavy rain but seems odd everywhere else seems dry.

I do have a roof rack on that compromises the outer small door seal, the one just above the silver trim, but not sure it's that. The door step appears dry too.
