I have recently purchased a 2006 B6 Passat 1.9tdi estate in blue with a scratch on every bumper and a dent on almost every door... its a workhorse... just need it to work now...
I'll list what i've fixed so far... and what i need help with...
1) kiddy lock on, door won't open from inside or out (see my other thread for that)
2) EPB - omg what a dikdesign - who puts electronics outside the car?!? ugh
Went to remove old motor to check if 6 or 12 hex.... only 1 motor fitted - yay... thats kinda a big reason why its beeping..
bought new motors - fitted new motors - wrong connectors - new updated version - ship! - order new connectors - cut and attempt to solder new connectors to wires.... cables rotten... cut three foot of wire out (to under the seats on the interior!) to get wire that just about soldered!
PITA!
3) ABS sensor fault (looks like its been rubbing on the ring or had a stone wedged in there)
remove the old sensor - undo the h5 hex bit, remove from car... (read as - swear alot and shout as to why it won't just pull out as theres nothing holding it in!) look at threads on bolt ...great took half the metal with it... refit - push connectors together - do the nut back up... spins and spins... great - don't want to but may have to helicoil this shi.. back together - ugh
4) and now i think i've lost (or never had) the programming for the ABS module...
i'm not one to easyly give up.... but im not far away
(plus on top of this my fiancees car decided it didnt like charging the battery yesterday so i've been fitting that - removing the f'k airbox to fit a battery!)
5) anyway... i've ordered a new alarm doo dah as that appears to be fault number 5
