Evening lovely people. Can anyone tell me where the map sensor on my bmr engine?
I've got a constant p0299. Recently I had the turbo fail whilst trying to regen the dpf (light on, then glow plug light started flashing). So as i was pushed for time i took the car to my local independent. When i got the car back the car felt flat and about 3miles into the journey home the car went back into limp (dpf light was still on, glow plug light now flashing)
Was given codes:
18434/P2002/008194 - Particle Filter Bank 1: Malfunction
Possible Symptoms
Malfunction Indication Lamp (MIL) active
Possible Causes
Exhaust Pressure Sensor (G450) faulty
Diesel Particle Filter (DPF) faulty
Possible Solutions
Check/Replace Exhaust Pressure Sensor (G450)
Diesel Particle Filter (DPF)
Perform Emergency Regeneration (Refer to Specifications!)
Check/Replace Diesel Particle Filter (DPF)
And
16683/P0299/000665 - Boost Pressure Regulation: Control Range Not Reached
Possible Symptoms
Reduced Power Output
Limp Mode
Possible Causes
Hoses/Pipes incorrect connected, disconnected or leaking
Charger Pressure Control defective
Turbocharger faulty
Diverter Valve faulty
Possible Solutions
Check Hoses/Pipes to/between Components
Check / Clean / Replace Charge Pressure Control
Check Turbocharger
Check Diverter Valve
So as I wasnt too keen on stumping up for a new dpf i had that cleaned. Now no codes for the dpf.
But the p0299 is still recurring, everytime I drive it. So I've gone through the boost hoses that were disturbed to change the turbo, vac lines and intake ducting. The n75 was also changed as that was outside the operating thresholds. So I want to check/clean/replace the map/boost sensor, if I can find it. Is it item 16, attached to the hard pipe between the intercooler and inlet flexable hoses?
Or does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
