Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 4 bank 1 location

Hi Guys,

Help needed please I have done a VCDS check on my partners VW Passat 10 plate 2.0l TDi 140 BHP manual gearbox


The fault code was P246E -000 - Electrical Malfunction - intermittent - MIL. ON

Please can anybody advise where this sensor is fitted - before or after the DPF.

VW dealership was not able to help
