Lumpy and slightly fast idle.....

Hmmmm, it seems I have a minor problem.
This first roared its head on Friday. I'd come to a stop and the engine would hold revs at just under 1000 and there would be a shaking/misfire. the car drives perfectly ok, revs well and has power. I filled it up with diesel (Would only take £20) and the problem went away and its been fine.
That is until today when the problem has returned.
I think the fuel thing could be a coincidence, though it is funny i've got slightly less fuel in than when it first happened. Ive put some diesel cleaner in.
When you start the car it idles fine even when warm, it's only after it's been driven that it does it.
Any ideas what this could be?
