I am new to the forum as I have a problem that I am struggling to resolve.
Last week I started the car and drove it about 1/2 mile total. It had been standing for about 4 weeks.
Started up and everything seemed to work.
The car was left unlocked as the alarm occasionally goes off for no reason.
Yesterday I opened the car and put the key in and no lights came up on the panel.
The only things that seem to have power are:
Interior lights but will only operate from the switch, opening a door doesn't turn them on
Parking sensor switch was illuminated which has now gone out
EPB switch lights up along with the red brake warning light on the panel when pressed (This also applied the EPB)
Radio
Hazard warning lights
Side lights
Pressing service button lights up the mileage display but nothing in the central info panel
Nothing else will power up, even the tailgate will not open.
Initial thought was flat battery so fetched another car with jump leads but still nothing
I have also tried a different battery as suggested on another forum.
I have checked all the plug in fuses under the bonnet with a meter and a test light
I have visually inspected the high rated fuses which are bolted in and using a test light they all seem OK.
Because the "ignition" circuit will not power up any fault codes can not be read
Any thoughts on this please as it is very frustrating?
Thanks
Charlie
