B6 Auto Hold

Hi All,

The auto hold function on my B6 has stopped working. The EPB still works fine but I get the annoying beep when I start the car and a constant flashing light on the dash.

I have changed the auto hold switch which didn't work and I have checked the wiring and fuses that I can see and all looks fine.

A mate who owns a garage tested it and it is coming up with a fault code that needs to go to a VW dealer. Any one have any ideas what this could possibly be as due to prior experiences (and cost) I am not keen on taking it to VW.
