2.0 TDI Remap?

I’m thinking of getting my 2.0 BKP wagon a stage 1 remap, how many people have done this before? And how much improvement is there?
I use the wagon a fair bit for towing things here and there, and sometimes lacking the desired power on the hills. Forces me find alternative and longer routes
Buying a 170BHP Passat is also not an option as I’ve already put a fair bit of cheddar into this wagon.
