Doors locking but not unlocking

I have a 2007 B6 saloon the other day when I came back to the car park press the button to unlock the doors and nothing no motor sound nothing no chirp the only thing I could open was the boot so I had to climb through the boot to unlock the back door I can lock it fine but cannot unlock it at all any help would be much appreciated it's just frustrating me now
