Strange things are happening 2008 2.0tdi 140bhp

Hi it's been a long time since I posted, been enjoying the B6 from July with absolutely no problems at all except a handbrake push button doofer... No over the cold spell I have been losing power/ boost.. had it scanned in work using OBDeleven software no faults showed.. then today using OBD torque software I got a generic code of PO299. No boost and no power of acceleration switched the car off and on again all good again.... for a while. No smoke or rough engine noise, everything runs smoothly. Could I require a boost pressure switch?? The one of center to the right and the back of the engine?? Or a Mass air Flow?? It had it's recall back in July 2017 for VW emissions gate scandel. Can still drives as normal just with boost sometimes

any one willing to offer advise on this one or had previous experience of this fault?
