I can see from searching this question has been asked a lot, but I’m asking it again nonetheless.

My B6 is on coilovers and about -35mm at the min, I’m looking to buy some 8.5x18” wheels but unsure about et fitment, after reading up on here I was convinced I’d need to go >et40 to avoid problems, but the wheel shop have advised 8.5x18 et35 (might just be the set they’ve got in stock).

I want to avoid non-recommended tyre widths too, so min 225, 235 ideally – can anyone offer advice, should I aim for >et40 all things considered?

Cheers.
