Scratches to the interior silver trim....how to remove?

Hi All.
Hope you all had a great Christmas.....and a great year to come!
Can anyone please tell me the best way to get rid of some scratches on the silver trim of my Passat B6. I had work done on my radio and the inevitable happened, one of the mechanics scratched the silvered trim just below the radio housing when he removed the radio .....see pics.
Is it possible or worth trying to polish the scratches out somehow or do I need a replacement part? I know it's all a bit of a fuss over nothing, but everytime I look at the scratches it really bugs me!
