Any problems disconnecting battery for months (B6)

Hello all,
I was hoping someone could offer me some advice please?
We are moving country but want to keep our B6 passat in that country for use on holiday seeing family. The car will be left in an underground garage without electricity available; so that rules out a trickle charger or solar panel charging.
The only thing I can come up with is disconnect the battery, shut the bonnet, manually lock the door and the reverse of that procedure when I next go back. Any other ideas?
