Sunvisor replacement

Illumination of vanity mirror has stopped working. 100% not bukt since i swapped with other side and swapped the light so it appears the sliding mirror cover must have a failed switch.
I have purchased a replacement but dont see hiw it can be changed without dropping the headliner.
Anyone done one before i dive in making a mess and breaking stuff?
