As above really. When I bought my estate last January the gear changes were clunky and sticky.
Gearbox oil completely sorted the sticky, but the clunky has remained. Especially from first to second. But all gears to a lessening extent the higher up you go.
However, now we've had a warm spell of 25 degrees c and above, the gear change is like I imagine it was when new. It's an absolute pleasure to change gear now. Happened last summer too. Gets above roughly 22/23 degrees and all becomes well.
Why is that?!
Warm weather - why is my gear change so much smoother?
