b7 led vent mod help please

Hi dudes,
So I've ran into a snag retrofitting the b7 led vents to my b6.
My plan was to run the power and ground into the connector at the rear of the light switch by simply pushing them into the requisite terminals (alongside the existing wires), trouble is it seems too tight to do so. As a result, i was wondering if the connector comes apart so i can lay the wires on the wiring i need then close it back up clamping them down nicely?
Does the connector open up like that?, if so, how?
