DSG problem and loss of power

Post by Allan 362 »

1st time for me to ask a question, hope somebody can help.

Ive got a 56 plate 2.0tdi 140 estate with a DSG box with a good service history. Including a gearbox oil change at 90,000.
When I bought the car with 101,000 mls all was good however after about 6 months it developed a rattle and starting problems which was diagnosed as the dual mass. when the box was removed the flywheel had a lot of play and was changed.
1 All was well for a few weeks but the box seems lazy and there appear to be quite a bit of back lash if I pull away sharply from a standstill.
2 when pulling hard up a hill the car gets to about 3000rpm whenthe heater plug light starts to flash and the engine looses power, it becomes gut less and won't pull. If I stop swith off and restart the car the fault is gone.

Any ideas, I'm at the stage where I don't want to spend a lot on it so all suggestions would be welcolme.

Many thanks

Allan
