New MOT rules regarding dpf (May 2018)

Just been reading that there are new rules for testing diesel cars in the new mot test from May 2018.
Looks like people like myself that have had their dpf removed will have trouble passing the next one. I had mine removed in 2012 because I only do short journeys and never do more than 4000 miles a year. I had mine cored out rather than straight piped so it would pass a visual inspection.
Can anyone more in the know shed more light on this because my cam belt is due but I don't want to be spending money on something that is a lost cause. More info here....
