Injector Issue - Misfire

On my 2005 BKC 1.9 105bhp Passat, it will often shudder between 1800 and 2000rpm and start running on 3 cylinders. If I shut it off and turn it back on again it will run fine. A diagnostic check has found a fault code "PD Unit Injector, Cylinder 1 (N240)". Is this a common issue? Is it a wiring related fault or do I need to replace the whole unit injector assembly?
