RNS 315 Microphone

Hello all, I've recently bought a 2009 Highline and at the same time a friend gave me an RNS 315 head unit. Everything works fine (the SatNav needs updating though), the only thing I'm missing is a microphone for the hands free. All the functions work apart from no one can hear me I've bought a microphone off eBay and now just have to fit it.

I've read a few posts on here but haven't found one that really describes what to do, some refer to removing the glove box but some videos I've see don't. My main concern is running the cable from the over head unit to the head unit, I don't want to oh fiddlesticks! up the trim or screw an airbag. This will be my first time doing it and the car is in fantastic nick for its age, should I just get a pro to do it?
