MOT advisory uneven rear tyre wear

I've sorted out my black smoke problem thanx to the advice given to me from the members of this forum.
Today I took my car in for the dreaded MOT and it passed but ... advisory info

001 front tyres close to legal limit (understandable but I didn't they looked that bad)

002 tyre worn close to the legal limit rear (n/s and o/s and wearing uneven on inside) [4.1.E.1]

I've not jacked the car up to check the tyres yet but its the "uneven wear" that is bothering me . Could this be a sign of rear suspension problems ? "
