total novice when it comes to cars but kinda know how to use the web to research stuff.
Recently my 2009 passat estate started to show the airbag light on the dash and after a little while i noticed that the horn and controls for the stereo etc are not working either.
After doing a little search, most things point to the problem being:
airbag squib / clock ring - seems like there are a few names for the part.
Today i went to the garage who kindly helped pull out the airbag and steering wheel access the part so that I can do a search for the right part (what a flippin mine field!!!)
There was a sticker on the part - 5K0.953.569
As you can see in the image below. I was hoping that with the number the part would be super easy to find... Of course that would be far to easy!
After a few searches on ebay, I can see most of the part number there but then in many cases there are a couple more digits at the end.
I appreciate this link is to a US based site, but it looks like this table would be helpful to someone who has half a clue (not me
)Might anyone be able to help me to determine the right part for my car please?
