I have a 2006 B6 TDI with the 3KP and auto with 173000kms and I have been told it needs a new turbo and the brake booster is leaking vacuum and needs replacing also. The car is currently in limp mode with the fault code - boost pressure. What is the best way to attack this as I am being told they are two separate jobs - one 7 hours (booster) and one 4 hours (turbo). I would have thought it would be best to take the whole engine/trans out, replace the items and then put the motor back?? I cant justify or afford another $1500 in labour to do what they are suggesting..Any help appreciated.
