Car: 2008 Passat 1.9Tdi Estate 105.
Hi,
I have a knocking/rattling noise coming from the front of my car when i slowly drive over a bumps, low curb edges etc. Also, whilst driving a wobbling can be felt through the steering, and in fact it's so bad now that the passenger can even sense it through the vehicle not just up thru the steering wheel. The steering of the vehicle does not seem affected.
I've had a look underneath with a pry bar and nothing seems worn yet, but i was wondering if the lower engine mount (dogbone i think some people refer to it?) could cause these issues?
I've checked the engine movement under the bonnet whilst revving the car and it does move fwd/aft but i have nothing to compare it to to see if my movement is more than usual.
Thought i'd check on here before starting to change parts for no reason.
Thanks in advance, Stu.
LOWER ENGINE MOUNT?
