Are all B6 Passats equal?

Bodily, are there any detail changes to the B6 from 2008-2010?
Reason I ask is that I've just recently picked up a very cheap 57 plate TDI SE that's done 233K now it's fine as a car, goes reasonably well, but as you'd expect for a car of this mileage certain things are a bit tired, also bearing in mind it has a few knocks and dings, and needs a couple of jobs doing, the big one being cam belt and water pump, I was considering maybe looking out for a salvage lower mileage, higher spec car and using whatever was needed parts wise from this one to repair the later car. Thus ending up with a later better spec car for way under book.
I've looked at a few pictures of later cars, and couldn't see anything different. Have I missed something or is all the panel work, bumpers etc the same?
