Can the cr engine timing be checked in vcds?

Hello

I suspect my timing maybe slightly out as I get a fault come up on a cold engine when giving it some heavy foot. Not ideal I know but at least it's shown up a fault! It's fine once it's been ran for a minute or two.

I have read that you can use the torsion value on the pd engines to check the timing but on the common rail you can't as it's just done by the timing tools.

Surely there is something in vcds to fine tune the timing via the elongated cam pulleys for my engine?
