HID Recommendations

Hi Everyone,
2009 Passat Saloon - Highline White Full Height MFD - Valeo Lights ( I believe, push and twist to change bulb )
I was wondering if anyone has fitted HID's to their car's & what they used.
Looking for something a good clear white, but not so white it starts to tint blue and lose projection distance & CANBUS friendly.
I don't mind spending proper money for something someone recommends, never been a fan of eBay "Shanghai Specials"
Worked in IT for 11 years so relatively happy with coding modules if needed & can do basic wiring if needed, but more plug and play the better.
Any opinions welcome
