Well I managed to get a refund for the passat 170 - the garage wasn't happy with it even after changing DMF, clutch, EGR, actuator diaphragm and forcing DPF regen.
I'm now on a look out again either diesel or petrol.
What are people's views on the TSI reliability (either 1.8 or 2.0)? on the passat? I know about the oil burning issue but should I not even go there or can I spot a lemon vs a good one?
DSG gearbox - never had an auto before. Similar to above, I've heard a few horror stories (as with anything online) but again is this something I should avoid or worth looking at?
Looking for around 70-90k mileage.
