Sound Distortion from Passenger side speaker

Good Afternoon,

I have some 'fuzzy' distortion from the Front Passenger speaker in my B6 Estate. The radio unit is an MFD2.

Could this possibly be the speaker cone ripped/perished in some way?

Has anyone else had this. Unsure whether it's a speaker issue or the left-hand-channel on the radio unit.

Happens on all 'sources' so I'm pretty sure that it's one of the 2 above.

Any ideas ?
