Steering Wheel controls, horn and other electricals

Hi,

I am new to this site and own a 55 B6 1.9tdi with all the trimmings( leather seats, multi control steering wheel etc).

I have recently swapped the nearside front door as it was dented and now my steering wheel controls and horn arent working.

I have plugged the coder in and it says no communication to the steering module.

I have stripped the steering wheel down to see if there was a bad earth etc but there is no definitive problem solver online either, only replace clockspring or steering control module.

However it is strange that it has happened after replacing the door, which leads me to believe it is something computerised ?

Any experience with this would help as I am trying to flog asap.
