Hi guys and gals, I'm new here having recently bought my first Passat at auction. Always a gamble I know. Really love the car but it is rather smokey in the mornings. Seems to clear fairly quickly so I'm thinking possibly valve stem seals. I'm no mechanic so I'm probably going to have to pay someone to do the work for me, but I'm wondering two things -
1. Other likely causes
2. Any recommended additives that might improve the situation
I imagine there must already be similar threads on here so any directions to those would be useful - there's so much stuff on here it's really hard to find specifics.
