Removing door mouldings

...as the title says really...does anyone know how to?
I`m talking about the chrome ones about a third of the way up the doors, and also the ones in the rear bumber.
I just had the one off the bottom of the hatch (I have an estate), and that was held on with double sided sticky foam stuff, but the others seem to be a bit more secure.
