My 08 reg B6 is currently in the garage with clutch issues. after at the weekend it couldn't select reverse, first or sencond. After a 90 mile trip to weymouth rang VW assist they sent out someone who faulted it as clutch as it would select gears perfectly when engine was off and upon lifting the bonnet could smell clutch, so we took a trip took the local VW dealer in Dorchester who were poo, didn't even get the car in the workshop and just told us what we already knew.
Back home on Monday things were Ok, gears felt notchy, but otherewise we could select them fine. Still to be safe VW came and recovered it to our local dealer who three days on can't fault the car!!
Has anyone had this problem or simular or know of anyone who has? As I have heard there is a problem with the B6 clutch.
