ENGINE FAULT!

I was driving back from wales and when I nearly reached my house the sign came on and I lost most of the power. The car droves but really slowly. If I push the pedal all the way, the rev goes up slowly and the car doesn't pick up speed as it used too and its really slow.

I showed it to mechanic and he claims its "EGR valve" fault if not "turbo boost control"...

Did anyone else go through this issue?

Note: Engine management Light is on due to Coolant Pump 2
