standard head unit

Bit of a weird one the last few mornings when I start the car the head unit will come on with sound but just a couple of lines on the display so turn it on and off then back to normal well that worked for a bit now getting no display at all even after turning on and off couldnt get sound either at first then sound worked but still no display then flickers in and off before a sort of display coming back aprat from the background was black and writing was white then after another 10 mins it fickered and went back to normal the diaplay will still light up blue when lights are on all the time this is happening

Any ideas or just get a new unit
