EPB Fault

Hi all, today when driving the epf wouldnt engage, pressed it and on the dis said parking brake fault, see handbook. Left the car in gear did what i had to do and it seems fine, well, for the time being anyway.

Below is the fault vcds found.

Is this the start of something major, or is it just the epb button, seen that its an A version, going to order the c version from dealers on monday, is it likely its just the button or the rear calipers are on their way out...

Does anybody know how much the switch is please?
