Replaced Rear Tyre - Steering Off Centre!

Post by TazzyK »

Is this even possible? I had a tyre replaced yesterday on the passenger side rear and the steering since then seems to be off centre. I've been driving the passat for a few days and don't remeber noticing this before - I would have noticed this immediately so is this just a coincidence? Drove straight home from the tyre place which is literally around the corner so I couldn't have kerbed it or hit any karge pot holes, so whats gone wrong? The only problem with the steering prior to this is the wheel is that is doesn't return to centre (well, not the last quarter turn anyway) which I think might be the upper strut mounts.

Any ideas? TIA
