2.0 TDI Clutch problems...

Post by PassatMidas »

Greetings all, I have searched the forum as best I can and haven't found any topic relating to my problem, if there is an article covering this, many apologies.

My 2006 Passat 2.0 TDI (6 speed manual) has recently had a new DMF, clutch kit and release bearing (Sachs, I believe) which was replaced professionally by a very reputable VAG specialist and I'm very happy with the workmanship they provided. Shortly after however I had been experiencing a problem when at low speeds and stand-still; the gears (reverse, 1st and 2nd so far) have a often been very hard to disengage with the clutch fully depressed, even lifting slightly doesn't encourage it out of the gate. I phoned the garage and told them about the troubles; they took my car in, bled the clutch again, checked the operation and said they were unable to detect the fault. It has been about a week since then and the problem came back again today, I was at the tip waiting completely stationary in a queue, I was in 1st gear with the clutch fully depressed and then it 'jumped' suddenly and started creeping forwards slowly on it's own! Has anyone experienced anything like this at all? Could it be a problem with the clutch pedal, or the clutch master cylinder perhaps? Please let me know what you think?
