Turbo Gone?

My Tdi sport 140 has always smokes a little but now when i give it anysort of load im left with huge plums of smoke. I also got a puff when starting on morning now. If i accelerate slow ( no load ) it does not smoke. I have no error codes, and still get 55mpg daily ( got 70 mpg yesterday for trip for birmingham to newcastle at 58mph with just over 1/4 tank used). When i serviced it 6months ago i checked inside turdo pipes and there was some oil in them but all the passats i have ever had , do that. Any ideas? its on 104000 miles
