I have been looking at getting myself a MFD for my B6 sport. I have seen some where the top few lines are not illuminated, and then i have seen others where these lines show the compass.
Am i right in saying, if you have no RNS head unit these lines are off, and if you do have an RNS head unit they are on?
If so, if i buy a set of dials that came from a car without sat nav these lines will be off, then at a later date i add an RNS 510, will the compass turn on automatically? Or does it depend on the MFD part no?
