VW / Audi 2.0 Diesel Engines

Hello all.

I bought a 2008 B6 1.9 TDi Highline around Nov/Dec last year

I'm thinking of changing up to a 2009 in the next month or so but from looking online on Autotrader there seems to be very little 1.9 TDi's for sale compared to last year.

There seems to be a lot more 2.0 TDi's for sale. Anyone know the reason for this

I've always been told to steer clear of the 2.0's but have had a look online and found it mentioned that the 2.0 TDi engine was changed to an Audi unit in Feb 2008. Anyone know if is was true. And if it is true how long till these new units filtered through to the dealers and is there any way of recognising quickly which engine it is?
