Front suspension clonk?

Can anyone help. I have an 08 140 crtdi est with 60k on clock. A few momega ago I started to hear a gloom the front when travelling over either poor road surfaces or humps. I took the car into the dealer and asked them to investigate. 8 hours later they rang to say no fault found. I was not impressed but lived with what I was told. Now a few months on and the car out of warranty the noise is getting progressively worse. Has anyone else had this problem that can help me. I don't want to take the car back to have my trousers pulled down by the dealer. Thanks
