B6 wing mirror damaged

B6 wing mirror damaged
A gritter hit my wing mirror and I need to remove it to be resprayed. Do I have to remove the whole mirror or can the mirror be dismantelled while still on the car? I would assume that there must be someway to get the indicator part off to do the bulb, does it all clip together? Any help please, thanks
