B6 Wheels comaptible with B5

B6 Wheels comaptible with B5
I have been searching high and low for a set of steel wheels to fit snow tyres to for my 2006 Passat. On contacting VAG dealer I was told that there are no steel wheels available in the UK and warned that the B6 wheel has changed from the B5 model in that the stud holes are different and will therefore not fit the new model, is this true? If they are compatible does this also mean I could use Skoda rims in their place and lastly does anyone know of any breakers/dealers that may have steel rims new or S/H. Thanks for any help in advance.
