Clutch Slipping

I have a Tdi 170bhp with 57k. Moving off today with 5 people in the car noticed the clutch slipping under high revs as I pulled away.
Seemed to drive OK apart from this one instance. Is the writing on the wall for a new clutch, how quickly should I change it?
Anyone have any idea of what I should pay for a new clutch, car is almost 4 years old so will not be a main dealer.
