I have been using "Shell" fuel in my car since I had it, (around 4 weeks now). I "always" use Shell every time I fuel up......except yesterday afternoon when I just happened to need fuel and "Waitrose" was nearby. I put in approx 10 litres.
Used the car for another hour at work after, then went home, parked up overnight, and this morning when I start the car up, I get an error, "Emissions Garage", and a orange warning symbol, looks like a pump. I say it looks like a pump, but then what does a pump light look like in the first place? Hey, I aint no mechanic.
Coincidence or what?
I've been reading up in some VW forums and it seems a few people have had the same when going from a "brand" fuel to a "supermarket" fuel.
Anyone experienced this type of phenomenon in thier car, or is this purely a coincidence?
I now have to contact VW for them to check it. It's still under Warranty but this means a missed day of work.
(Car is VW Passat B6 06 plate)
My B6 and fuel it may not like complete with an error!
