Newbie to the Passat here
I always like to have a towing vehicle and have fitted towbars to many previous marques.
Question is.. Can I fit the usual "witter" type aftermarket towbar to my B6 estate and wire it up or does it have to have wiring specific kit and be programmed in by VW?
The last 2 kits I've fitted (to Mercs) I have been able to use a standard by-pass relay kit to avoid problems with lighting error messages etc.
Anyone done this that could give me a few helping hints would be appreciated, with bumper info and lighting etc.
