Help needed on led side lights

Hi i just brought a passat b6 140bhp 06 plate 2 weeks ago. ive already put on hid kit and when i got to do the simple job putting the led in the side light there came on for few seconds and trun off again.

ive done some look up on the net where i can buy special led where there won't be a bulb light on or i can reset the car computer by getting some software.

where can i get the software from and isit easy to reprogram your car
